As of this time, we are keeping a close eye on the storms coming up from the Atlantic and are taking appropriate measures to prepare.

The Board of Directors would like to express that the safety of our attendees, vendors, sponsors, and volunteers is and always will be our #1 priority.

Currently, the 2025 Fair is still scheduled to proceed as scheduled with the hopes that the impact in the area is light. Looking at both the European and American models, it appears that our region will experience scattered rain and the chance of moderate winds. If that is the case, the Fair will still go on as planned.

Our critical procedures policy states that if the weather becomes substantial during operating hours that the Board of Directors would direct all patrons to proceed to the Arena Building located at the eastern side of the fairgrounds between the hog barn and cattle barn.

The Orangeburg County Fair board of directors have been in continuous contact with Chris Murdaugh of the Orangeburg County Emergency Services to keep up with accurate updates from local first responders and government.

In the circumstance that the weather becomes a hazard to our patrons we will do what is necessary to assure their safety, whether that's a shelter-in-place warning or evacuation of the Fairgrounds.

In the event of a catastrophe, the Fair does have a partnership with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to utilize our fairgrounds as an emergency shelter.

At this time, we are hopeful that any inclement weather will come through this weekend, so that, in the best case scenario, the Fair can proceed as planned. We will keep the community updated via our social media pages.
